A summer's day in the name of historic golf

On 5 July 2025, the time had come: the 2nd Lake Constance Hickory Tour took place under a bright blue sky at the Constance Golf Club - the home course of the Lake Constance Hickory Golf Society. Players from five nations met in perfect playing conditions and midsummer temperatures: Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Spain and Austria.

Hickory golf weekend inspires with sporting class and nostalgic flair

The 1st July weekend was all about traditional golf: the Bodensee Hickory Society www.bodensee-Hickory.de organised two tournaments in a row, in which players from Germany and abroad competed with their 100-year-old golf clubs and traditional clothing in the style of the 1920s and 1930s.

Homage to the traditions of golf

The participants of the first tournament day of the Juwelier Ehniss Open 2025, presented by the Bodensee Hickory Society, experienced in mid-June that the short course at Schloss Langenstein also has a lot to offer. Historical golf was celebrated in perfect form over 18 holes. And the exact approach game with the historic hickory clubs turned out to be not so easy....
